Congratulations to Michael Berry on winning Male Club Champion for the first time.

Bez had a wonderful season with both bat and ball with his all round contributions getting him over the line in a tight race for club champion.

Unfortunately Michael will be moving over to WA and this was his last season with us. We thank him for all his tireless work coaching the club as well as his efforts on the field

Our Female Club Champion was Lauri Widdup.

Lauri had a truly outstanding summer of cricket winning the batting award in both seasons of our women’s teams year, along with making her top score of 50*

She was also duly awarded a place in the NMCA Lenore Smith Team of the Year for 2024/25

Lauri has been a pivotal part of our women’s program, being captain in the first two seasons and now being our female cricket coordinator. She is extremely dedicated to helping grow our women’s program and contributes all throughout the club

Congratulations to Angela Hicks & Liz Cox for representing Research Eltham Collegians Cricket Club in the @nmcacricket Women's Rep team this weekend.

The Women at RECCC have come in leaps and bounds over the last 2 season, showcasing all the club qualities and some serious talent on the field.

This still feels like a dream. The 2nd XI have come from 4th to win the flag and they manage to do it in the first day of the grand final before the rain came. The Skipper Sam Mitchell took the first 5 wickets of the game to start the day off right and then Archie Cunningham who had a finals series to remember makes his second unbeaten 50 of the finals to rescue us after being 4/0. He brought up his 50 with the winning runs as well. He was so well supported by Aden McGrath who dug in for over 50 balls when we were 4/0 and then the Bison Kam came in and smashed it around the park in a little cameo 24. So many stories throughout the finals for these boys but what an achievement and the first 2nd XI flag for the club in over 30 years

You’ll never believe it this young bloke has set a club record (pic might be a couple years old can neither confirm nor deny). Biggest game of the year and Evan McCormack said watch this and took a club record 8 catches as the 2nd XI went on to rip through Lower Plenty’s batting order. Evan is one of the most dedicated club people having been playing seniors since he was 12 and at only 21 has a very bright future behind the stumps. Don’t give up the gloves again Ev

🏆 2nd XI Premiers! 🏆

Our 2nd XI took out the grand final this weekend in an incredible team effort! A huge win and a well-deserved reward for all the hard work this season.

The celebrations are in full swing at the clubrooms tonight—come down and join in!

PREMIERS!!! ❤️❤️❤️ The 2nd XI get the job done on day 1 and with day 2 called off they are officially premiers after a massive effort rolling them for only 81 and chasing the runs only 5 down after being 4/0. A flag for the ages that’s for sure

Congratulations to our young U12 Blue side for making it through to the GF. What a team! Unfortunately Bundoora United Cricket Club were too good on the night and congratulations to them. To our team, coaches and parents we are super proud of your efforts and can’t wait to see how these stars develop over the next few seasons!

Our 2nd XI are off to Lower Plenty to bring home the flag this weekend. Playing both Saturday and Sunday, make sure you head on down to watch the boys bring home the flag

Semi Finals Results

The 2nd XI knocked off the previously undefeated Rivergum to book their spot in the grand final after an amazing 86 from Craig supported by Archie with an unbeaten 54. This was then followed up with a menacing performance from Gus Turner ripping through their top order to finish up with 5/18

The 3rd XI unfortunately couldn't repeat the performance and lost by 5 wickets, with a few contributors with the bat they couldn't get one to go onto a big score and put the pressure on the opposition unfortunately, toiled really hard on the second day with the ball but just didn't get the job done.

An amazing season for them nonetheless and big futures for a lot of the young guns in that team

Senior Coaching Positions Available

RECCC are searching for a new head coach of the 2025/26 season to support the growth and development of our senior men's teams and for our Senior Women's team.

These positions represents an exciting opportunity to become a part of a successful and well managed club, both on and off field, and assist in maintaining our position as a destination club within the DVCA.
